Retirement Letter
May 1, 2026
Dear Patients and Friends,
With mixed emotions, I am writing to share that after 35 wonderful years in practice, I will be retiring effective July 31, 2026. It’s truly hard to believe how quickly the years have passed.
Caring for your health has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Over time, many of you have become much more than patients—you’ve become friends. I feel especially honored to have been trusted by so many families to care for multiple generations.
Over the past year and a half, I have made every effort to find a chiropractor to continue the practice, but unfortunately, I have not been able to do so. To help ensure a smooth transition, I have arranged for the following offices to be available for your continued care:
Miller Chiropractic, 2441 Professional Parkway, Santa Maria – 805-934-5703
Pierce Chiropractic, 1415 E Main St, Santa Maria – 805-410-9621
Neary Chiropractic, 240 E Hwy 246, Suite 103, Buellton – 805-686-8322
Life Chiropractic, 203 W Central Ave, Lompoc – 805-737-5656
Dr. T Chiropractic, 415 E Ocean Ave #A, Lompoc – 805-740-0161
Of course, you are welcome to choose any provider you prefer. Your medical records will remain confidential and can be transferred to another doctor, released to you, or sent to a designated individual with your written permission.
Please know how much I have valued the relationships we’ve built over the years. Thank you sincerely for your trust, loyalty, and friendship—it has meant more to me than I can fully express.
Wishing you all the very best in health and happiness in the years ahead.
Warm regards,
Dr. Gene Pritchett, DC
Our Old House
Our old house is quite a Historical Structure. Originally built sometime around the turn of the century, it was the home of Doc Bryson-Lompoc's First Chiropractor!! It is always fun to have one his patients come to the office and tell us the stories of being adjusted there.
The office has 3 adjusting rooms with each having an adjusting table for all sizes and shapes, we have one special table that adapts for pregnant women, we've adjusted ladies up to their due date! There is also a therapy suite with 2 intersegmental traction tables and 2 tables for electrical muscle stim therapy. And of course there is always a pot of coffee for those who like to sit and visit!
Since 1991
Chiropractic Care in our Office
Some say we are a bit "Old School", in that Dr. Gene is primarily a "hands on" adjuster and practices traditional Chiropractic Care as he was taught at Palmer Chiropractic College. Also, he completed a one year program in Sport Medicine where he learned to utilize various therapy techniques to enhance the adjustments. We go the extra mile with Myofascial Therapy, traction, electrical muscle stim, active and passive stretching and taking the time to teach proper exercises and stretching that are an important part of long term healing and wellness.
